What is the Inactivity Timeout tool monitoring for activity?

Subject:

The information here describes what the Inactivity Timeout tool monitors for activity.

Information:

The Inactivity Timeout tool resets its last activity counters when any of the following occur:

  • A Form, Report, or Table is opened.
    • (I.e. a trigger on a Security global procedure.)
  • A Table, SQL table, or SQL Stored Procedure is opened or executed.
    • (I.e. triggers on Pathname, SQLPath, or SQLScriptPath global procedures.)
  • A Window Note or Record Note is checked for.
    • (I.e. triggers on Check_For_Note and Check_For_Record_Note global procedures.)

Note:

The above items will pick up most activities within Microsoft Dynamics GP and prevent the Inactivity Timeout tool activating prematurely.
