Issue:

When you update the project security, you receive the following warning message.

Update Security is currently running. Please try again later.

Cause:

Update to security routine is stuck.

Resolution:

Cancel the update and rebuild the security.

1. Logon as user ‘sa’.
2. Go to Project Cost | Utilities | PC SQL Maintenance | Project Cost | PC Advanced Security Maintenance.
3. Click the X next to the locked routine (will have a UserID).
4. Click the Rebuild Security button and close the windows.

Note: The rebuild security logic no longer exists in v18.03 (or newer) so the warning does not pop up.
