Auditing the Fiscal Period Setup window example

The steps here will describe how to setup an Audit Group for the Fiscal Period Setup window.

Resolution:

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Go to Auditor | Audit Groups.
  2. In the Group Maintenance window, create a new Group ID or select an existing one that you would like to add the Fiscal Periods Setup Form Audit to.
  3. Click the Add Audit button.
  4. In the Forms window, enter Fiscal Periods Setup in the Search field, and then tab off the field.
  5. Select the Fiscal Periods Setup Form from the Microsoft Dynamics Product, and then click Select.
  6. In the Auditor Form Maintenance window, click Period_Setup_Scrolling_Window in the Windows section.
  7. Select the following Field Names and then click the Mark as Key Field button:
    1. Period Date
    2. Period ID
    3. Period Name
    4. Repeat steps 9a-b for the rest of the Series: Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Payroll, and Project.
  8. Select the following Field Names and then click the Mark to Audit or Mark to Audit with Note button:
    1. Period Series [1]
    2. Period Series [2]
    3. Period Series [3]
    4. Period Series [4]
    5. Period Series [5]
    6. Period Series [6]
  9. If you would like the Audit Record results in SmartList to appear with Financial instead of Period Series [1], Closed instead of 0, and Open instead of 1, for examples, you can do the following:
    1. Select the Period Series [1] Field Name, and then click the Field Options button.
    2. In the Field Options window:
      1. In the Display Features section, mark the Use an Alternate Display Field Name checkbox, and then enter Financial.
      2. In the Use Field Mapping section, mark the Use Field Mapping checkbox, and then enter the following:
        1. Original Value: 0Map to Value: Open
        2. Original Value: 1Map to Value: Closed
      3. Click OK.
  10. In the Auditor Form Maintenance window, click OK.
  11. In the Group Maintenance window, click Save, and then close the window to Initialize Auditor.
