Force User to Enter Note Before Closing Window in Auditor

Describes the steps to force users to enter a note before closing the Note Maintenance window before entering the note.

Resolution:

When a field is audited, you can check the Note checkbox to force a user to enter a note. Users are prompted with a note entry window to explain the reason why the record was added, deleted, or edited. Although the user may be allowed to close the note window, they will be prompted upon login until they complete the notes. To prevent this, you may force the users to enter a note before they may close the Auditor Note Maintenance window. Here are the steps:

1. Go to Microsoft Dynamics GP | Tools | Setup | Auditor | System Settings.
2. In the System Settings window, click Options.
3. In the Audit Note Options section, mark Force user to enter note at time of audit.
4. Click OK.
