How do I make certain Users immune from getting kicked out of GP by the Inactivity Timeout feature?
By default, the DEFAULTUSER Task has access granted to all of the items under Type = Tools. So, in order to be able to have certain Users that do not get kicked out by the Inactivity Timeout feature, you need to make those Users, System Administrators of the Inactivity Timeout tool.
To do this, log in as ‘sa’ or Poweruser and go to Tools | Setup | Dynamics GP Toolbox | System Settings.
On the Home page, double-click the Inactivity Timeout Tool. You will now see the Timeout tab page where you can choose to Show All Users, then select the Users you want to be System Administrators.
