You are using SmartFill but need to stop the search before it is complete.

Enable the ‘Toggle Fast Search’ feature under Microsoft Dynamics GP | Tools | Utilities | SmartFill | Toggle Fast Search.
This is a toggle you can turn on or off. It allows you to stop a search if you see what you are searching for before the full search is completed. It does this by displaying the records as they are found, rather than after they are all found.
When you follow the path to the Toggle Fast Search it will toggle automatically rather than opening a window. You can also use Ctrl + Alt + F to toggle the option. When you toggle, you will receive a message stating ‘Fast Search has been disabled’ or ‘Fast Search now enabled’.
