Can SMTP be used instead of a MAPI Client to send email in Auditor or DRM?
All of our products that utilize email require MAPI-enabled Clients with the exception of DRM. DRM can also send email through a SMTP Server as long as the IP Address of the machine that hosts Dynamics GP has been added to the Allow List in the SMTP Relay Restrictions.
To confirm this please do the following:
1. Open IIS and right mouse click the SMTP Server that you want to use and click Properties.
2. Click the Access tab and then the Relay button.
3. Click the Add button and enter the IP Address of the machine that hosts GP
